Ludington's Website

Check out the website www.lookimlearning.org.  It was created by two teachers at Ludington during the implementation of their iPad program.  I haven't had time to look over the whole site but so far, it is very informative and interesting!!  We will be previewing a movie trailer from the site at our next tech meeting.

  1. I thought this was interesting from their FAQ page...

"WHEN STUDENTS ARE ABLE TO TAKE THEIR DEVICES HOME, AREN'T YOU AFRAID THEY WILL LOSE THEM?

The children have proven themselves to be incredibly responsible with their devices. To date, out of the 60 devices that were lent out over two years, only one device was lost when a parent accidentally left their child's iPad on top of their van before they drove away. Originally, our school was paying insurance on the devices until we found that it was an unnecessary expense simply because the children were being so responsible. People really don't give children enough credit."

  2. The movie trailer was great. I was looking for more information about the apps they use and found this link. The creators of the documentary have answered questions about how and why they decided to go to one-to-one ipads in the elementary. It is inspiring! Here is the link:
